Yesterday, Apple released their annual rankings of the year’s top grossing apps—and, we’re thrilled to say, Fiksu was well represented. In fact, 41 out of the top 50 and a jaw-dropping 9 out of the top 10 apps have promoted their apps through Fiksu’s systems. Fiksu is happy to welcome our newest executive team member, Ken Goldman. Ken joins us from Black Duck Software, where he was named CFO of the Year by the Boston Business Journal in 2009. A billion is a not a number that is thrown around all too often, so it’s a milestone worth noting. Fiksu recently surpassed the 1,000,000,000 mark in loyal app users we have helped our clients acquire over the past several years. Earlier this week Apple released its updated figures on iOS adoption, showing that 87 percent of devices are running on iOS 7, 11 percent on iOS 6 and 2 percent on earlier OS’. This week, Fiksu shared the success story of our partnership with Plain Vanilla Games on their incredibly popular trivia game, QuizUp – named “the fastest growing iPhone game in history.” Since initial launch in November, QuizUp users have been challenging friends or strangers to quick seven-question rounds of trivia questions. Players can challenge friends through social sharing tools or through manual invitations.
